Workouts
Your workouts by sport, and what each value means.
The Workouts screen lists your recent workouts, newest first (see Getting started for how far back). Tap one to see its details.
For every sport
- Time, distance and energy.
- Average and maximum heart rate, and the minutes in each heart-rate zone.
- Load: how hard the workout was for your heart. See Training load and form.
Extra details by sport
On iPhone today; on Android they come later.
- Running: pace (minutes per km or mile), cadence (steps per minute), stride length, ground contact time, vertical oscillation and running power, when your watch measures them.
- Cycling: speed, cadence (rpm) and power (watts), with a power meter or a watch that estimates it.
- Swimming: pool or open water, distance, strokes and pace per 100 m.
- Walking and other sports: time, distance, heart rate and climb.
Which values appear depends on your watch. A missing value isn't an error: your device didn't record it.

Start a workout in your watch's workout app. When it ends and your watch syncs, it appears here. Workouts from other apps appear too, when those apps share them with Apple Health or Health Connect.
